Better late then never !!!

Hello Folks,

Back after a while coz was tightly caught up with work and home...
Got married and so changed my priorities and came additional responsibilities...

Now since things have settled, I am back to my fitness mission. The other day some where i read this quote "I choose to be fit".

It did not click anything to me at that moment. Later that day i happened to stand on the weighing machine, wont say that I was shocked to see the weight reading,bcoz of the never ending treats and invitation than happens in a typical Indian Families for a newly wed.I wont blame that entirely for my weight gain... I happen to actually shift my focus away from fitness.

But as they say "Every day is a new day".

So start afresh with renewed energy and motivation... :-)

Step 1 : To Start with I first controlled my eating outside urge.. which i tell you is quite a challenging thing for me to do :-)

Step 2 : Next step was to cut on the amount of intake of dinner.. Very important when we are on the road of weight reduction...

Step 3 : Next was to add a bit of exercise.. make it a step by step process. Don't try to loose it all in one day.. :-)

Target loosing at least 0.50 KG a week.

Keep your goal realistic and simple...... And you will definately reach there as I did.. :-)

Chatpata Onion dosa!!!



Ingridients :

1. Dosa Batter (You can use the ready made batter)
2. Finely chopped onions
3. chilli powder
4. chat masala
5. salt to taste
6. Cooking oil

Procedure:

Take one portion of batter and spread it on medium heated tawa.
Now put the finely chopped onion onto the spread and just press the onions a bit onto the batter so that they stick to it.
now sprinkle some salt and chilli powder and then chat masala.

Once this is done take one teaspoon of cooking oil and then spread on the edges of the dosa.Cook evenly on both the sides and le the onions change color to golden brown.

Chatpata onion dosa is ready and cit could be served with chutney powder or curd or silmy taken alone.

Crash diet cannot sustain for long, the moment you will resume your ususal diet you will start craving for all the food you resisted and end up putting on double the weight!!!

Diet Tip - Do not Skip breakfast!

When you first wake up, you are likely to be low on energy.

If, the night before, you ate dinner between 7 to 8 p.m. and then nothing else until breakfast at 8 a.m., you would have gone 12 hours without added fuel. Your body may have burned around 1,100 calories during this period. Most of the fuel used would have come from your stored fat and carbs!!

If you skip breakfast at this point and do a tough workout, Say you burn 500 calories during the workout. By the time you eat later that morning, you may have lowered your energy deficiency by 1,600 calories (that is, 1,100 calories burned while you sleep, plus 500 from the workout).

At some point of time you body will demand more fuel and this is the time when you will most likely to binge and hog and go into a huge energy surplus to compensate. This will lead to Over Eating and more calorie consumption.

The moral :
Never Skip Break fast and for the rest eat small-to-moderate sized meals every three or four hours.
